YOUTH CAMP DETAILS RELEASED
ALL-ARMENIAN YOUTH CAMP DETAILS RELEASED
Details for the highly anticipated ALL-ARMENIAN YOUTH CAMP have been released by the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia Organising Committee:
-> The camp will take place from FRIDAY JANUARY 19 to MONDAY JANUARY 22 2007.
-> Transport to and from the campsite departing from RYDE and WILLOUGHBY has been organised through GREYHOUND BUSES and the MILSON ISLAND FERRY, which will depart from Kangaroo Point Wharf in Brooklyn.
-> The campsite is the picturesque MILSON ISLAND.
-> ACCOMMODATION for campers includes bunk rooms with individual en-suites.
-> The CATERING at the camp will be organised by Milson Island staff, who will cook five meals a day.
-> ACTIVITIES AND FACILITIES available at the state-of-the-art campsite includes:
o 25-metre swimming pool
o Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball courts
o Sports Ovals
o Abseiling
o High Ropes
o Rock Climbing
o Archery
o Fencing
o Canoeing
o Bushwalking
o Conference Centre
o Barbeque and Picnic Areas
o And MANY MORE…
-> The activities will be SUPERVISED by professional staff provided by the Milson Island campsite.
-> The ORGANISING COMMITTEE is made up of members of the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) Advisory Board, the AYF Executive, AYF Juniors Leadership and selected members of the community. Their contact details are below.
-> CAMP MANAGEMENT and general supervision will be provided by the Organising Committee and the adult membership of the AYF.
-> DISCUSSION TOPICS will be run by Special Guests, invited for this historic camp, as well as Organising Committee members.
-> The CAMP FEE has been subsidised from $195 per person to $150 due to fundraising activities by the AYF.
-> APPLICATIONS will be accepted ONLINE at www.ayfaustralia.com by filling out the FORM at http://www.ayfaustralia.com/youthcamp.php.
-> PLACES ARE LIMITED so HURRY and get your applications in to maximize your chances for attendance.
-> Applicants and their parents will be invited to a special INFORMATION EVENING at the Armenian Cultural Centre in Willoughby in early December, and its details will be provided to applicants’ parents by telephone.
