The Organising Committee has extended the application period for another 10 days – until 13 December 2006 – after securing extra places at Milson Island for the inaugural All-Armenian Youth Camp.
The camp, inviting all Australian-Armenian youth of high school age (born between years 1989 and 1995), will be held at the picturesque Milson Island from Friday 19 January to Monday 22 January 2007.
It has attracted plenty of interest and promises to be an historic event bringing the community’s younger members together in a social, educational and stimulating environment.
The All-Armenian Youth Camp will be fully supervised by senior members of the Armenian Youth Federation, the Organising Committee and Milson Island campsite staff, who are trained in activity supervision and first aid.
At the end of this extended application period, on Wednesday 13 December 2006, the Organising Committee will hold an Information Evening at the Armenian Cultural Centre in Willoughby from 7:30pm.
They will introduce themselves to parents and campers, and will take everyone in attendance through the planned structure of the camp, campsite facilities, camp rules and organised activities for the four day event.
The Committee will also answer any questions from parents and campers.
They urge you to encourage your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to apply and form part of a historic first in the Australian-Armenian community.
