A blog entry written by Ungerouhi Sarin Karakozian.

I have previously visited this beautiful church before in 2011, however my experience was beyond words in 2016. This holy church was not only the first place St Gregory decided to build the first Christian church in Armenia but is also a symbol for other Christians around the world today. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the first Youth Corps AYF Australia in Armenia, and I am very blessed to have experienced Etchmiadzin with one of my Childhood friends Ungeroohi Nanor. There was a special moment when a Lady randomly approached us both telling us she was drawn to both our souls. She said to us we were two beautiful young ladies and God will answer all our thoughts and prayers if we continued to believe. She said that we reminded her of her children and asked us to tell her our wishes so she could pray for us both on Sunday. Both Nanor and I could not believe the selflessness and kindness this woman showed us, and in disbelieve we both turned to each other with tears in our eyes. With many tourists walking in and out and with locals coming in to pray this woman has seen it all, and to think that she had chosen us to walk over to bought us to believe that there is nothing stronger than believing. There are moment like this in your life that you wonder how this all happened, and then you relies that everything happens for a reason. Therefore I will always cherish this moment, and will continue to believe in our faith. He wants to "prosper you and not to harm you, to give hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11)
