Reflections at Yeraplur

Tuesday, 25 October 2016

The following blog post was written by Ungerouhi Sarina Levonian after visiting Yeraplur in Yerevan.

Sitting in front of the church at Yeraplur. Sitting here embracing our country. Yeraplur is a cemetery located on a hilltop of Yerevan, for Armenian soldiers who have given their lives for their nation. Everyone is very emotional with what they saw, very thankful for the people who have sacrificed their lives for our culture, for our freedom and our land. I sit here with the smell of khoong from the church and the beautiful voices singing Armenian hymns, I have become very touched as to what I have seen. It is clear from the emotion, expression and the pure silence of all AYF members that visiting Yeraplur has shown a different side of Armenia.
